We are now entering a strategic phase of growth focused on securing direct contracts and expanding into new service sectors such as Home and Business Removals and subcontracted last-mile delivery.
Role Purpose
This role is designed to help the company transition from short-term project wins to long-term, high-value direct contracts. The Business Development Manager will lead all efforts in identifying, developing, and securing new B2B partnerships, while also nurturing and expanding relationships with our existing client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue direct contract opportunities with logistics providers and e-commerce companies.
- Develop and implement a structured B2B partnership pipeline across target sectors.
- Lead tendering, bidding, and negotiation processes for new client acquisition.
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to support growth and retention.
- Collaborate with operations and fleet teams to ensure deliverables are operationally aligned.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regional demand patterns.
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and updates for senior leadership.
- Represent the company professionally in meetings and networking events.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, logistics business development, or commercial partnerships.
- Strong understanding of UK logistics and subcontracting frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing growth plans.
- Able to work independently while aligning with company goals.
- Results-driven with a focus on long-term client relationships.
